Sasu's stories... ...

It's time to say goodbye to Year 2006. Last year was a very peaceful, until Mila-baby moved to us :)

Nanna performed only two times in dogshows and got a "very good" in both times. We decided that Nanna will complete her showcareer and concentrate only to tracking and hunting in the future. On last summer, Nanna started her tracking-career with Juha and they succes were remarkable! Nanna got 1st prizes in her both open class-tests and moved to the winner class.

Ville-boy performed in dogshows five times and didn't got any big success. One time he was BOS and Best Male 3rd. We visited in Norway at the first time together and even Ville didn't succeeded, the whole trip was amazing experience! Ville took part in tracking tests only three times in this year and got along very nicely: 2 x 3rd prize and 1 x 1st prize! Ville don't go to tracking tests anymore, cause of the new doping rule (he have the hypothyrosis -disease), but him showcareer will go on!

And then... Our little Mila-girl. She moved to us on last summer and after that we have had so much action at our home! Mila have been so wonderful and kind puppy and we are so grateful to Satu that she gave us that little sunshine! Mila visited one time in puppyshow and got the HP and a very good judgement. Her showcareer will continue already on next weekend, when we travel to Kajaani International Dog Show.

And what about me :) In year 2006, I got my own kennelname - Essere's, which I had to wait seven long months. I hope that someday we will get the first Essere's -cockerspaniels :) I have got so many new friends which made this year unforgettable for me! Thank's to all of you - my dear friends - and very very very HAPPY AND SUCCESFUL NEW YEAR!

24.11.-25.11.06 we had the yearly Cockerspaniel meeting. I was there at the first time in my life, and it was a very educational and funny weekend! Lectures was extremely interesting - especially I liked very much the cocker's construction -lecture (Anja Puumala). It was also nice to met breeders... we had so great time that we celebrated all night long. Thanks to my roommates Satu and always-so-wonderful Kiira-cocker (our Mila's mum) for a nice company (especially on Sunday, hih) and million thanks to Maarit, who brought me back home!

18.11.06 we had Lapland Spanielclub christmas party and there we celebrated all night long again :) We also had there a meeting and I was chosen to be the treasurer of the club, the secretary of member's and the deputy member of the board. I'm also member of the publication- and celebration committee. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful evening! It's so sad that we have to wait next christmas party so long!

17.11.06 We are back! We spend six days in Paimio, at mum's sisters place. We had so great time together with Henna and Jere! Every morning I walk to school with childrens and in the afternoons, when theirs schooldays were over, I brought them back home. It was so nice to be the only dog in the house! I got so much attention, that it was quite sad to came back home, by discipline and orders.

On last Sunday we were at Kaarina's all breed puppyshow and we went there too late!!! I don't know what happened, but now it's pointless to cry. Fortunately the judge gave me a very good judgement and he gave me also the honour prize! I was a good performer; when judge was checking me, I was very calm, and when I had to ran, I just flyed around the ring :) The judge was sad, cause I came there too late, he really liked me so much. Next time I have to take care, that my mum doesn't do anything stupid with timetables!

9.11.06 Tomorrow will be very extraordinary and exciting day! I will go to Turku with mum and we spend the whole week in mum's sister, Tuija's place. So it will be my first time travelling by train and it will be also my first time in the dogshow! On Sunday I'll go to the Kaarina's all breed puppyshow to learn some "showthings". But now I want to introduce you my dear friend - Sorsa (wild duck). We exercise every day together :)

30.10.06 The winter is here again! We have a lot of snow in here at the moment and it's so wonderful! Mila saw that white, fabulous thing at the first time in her life and she like it very much :) All our family have a same opinion: winter is absolutely our favorite season!

14.10.06 We spent four wonderful days in Oulu, at Kara's and Melly's home. We travelled there on last Friday with mum and we came back to home just Tuesday. Kara and Melly were so nice to me... They are kindest dogs in the world!

On Saturday Kara and Melly went to the Oulu's INT dogshow and in the meantime I went with mum to my breeder, Satu's place. I met my beautiful two sisters, Sani and Smirre and we had so great time together! We also played with Reeta's little puppies, they were only 5 weeks old and soooo cute! On Sunday Kirsi and mum worked all day at the dogshow and I stayed home with Kara and Melly... and that was so great! Kirsi's willow baskets tasted so good, so I ate those delicious baskets, yummy!

On Monday we visited to cockerboys, Topi's and Noa's home. They was very kind and charming boy... I stole all theirs goodies, and they didn't said anything! Amazing!

Million thanks to Kirsi, Mika and KaraMelly's for those wonderful days! And we are so sorry, that we left so afwul mess into your home... but it's better that you will get use to it if/when we move to yours place in permanently ;)

1.10.06 What a sad day :( I had planned that I'm going to the forest for a long walk with my friends and just we were going, mum looked my theet... and she almost got a heart attack when she noticed, that I had a big cut in my mouth and one thoot was turned around. I have to admit that it looked quite bad, but it didn't bothered at all... I ate normally and played normally... but still I had to went to the doctor, which anesthetized me and fixed my theet and gums. Now I have many stitches in my mouth and I have a medicine cure. It's very sad... But I want to say to all my friends, that we are going to play into the forest as soon as I'm healthy again!

Mila wasn't laughing after surgical treatment :(

30.9.06 Now it's my turn to report our latest news. At the moment we have very interesting times at home... Nanna started her mating season ;) Mum was very unhappy, because of Nanna's seasons they didn't got to the hunting test and they had trained so much :( It was sad, but mum still went to the tests and learned so much about hunting... so now she is totally mad about that hobby, but fortunately I don't have to hunt anything... except beautiful girls ;)

Mila has grew up very much, she is a really strong girl, and so stupid! And so stubborn! I have never seen so stubborn girl. But she is also very nice and kind... especially, because I can easily rob her food :) Mum don't like that at all... she says that I'm heartless and cruel, when I'm rob child's food, but my opinion is, that only fastest cockers lives!

We have jogged a few times with welsh-girls Funny and Iida and with our friends Kara and Melly - of course! Poor little Mila running always with those big girls and she believes, that she is the same size than the others. But she's not. I really like that young welsh-girl, Iida... she's got that something ;)

Ville always sleeps beside mum... he have his own pillow :)

19.9.06 I just want to say, that this puppy's life is so relaxed and easy-going :)

Nanna's stories... ...

10.9.06 So much have happened, but our webmaster has been so busy, that updates are a little delayed. At first: we had this year lastest tracking test on last weekend and test was a really catastrophic! Ville did very good job, but two times someone else smelled better than blood track, so that's why Ville got only 3rd prize. And then was me... hih! I just jumped and jumped around, it was so fun! But unfortunately my trackingtime went over and my score was 0.

My littlesister Mila was in the meantime (when we was in the tracking test) in daycare at grandmother's, Tuula's, place and there Mila took care that welshpringerspaniel-boy, Wallu didn't got his afternoon nap. Mila have also exercise a clicker training and she boasted that someday she will be better than me... but my opinion is: IN HER DREAM! Nobody can be better than me... in no case that little kiddy!

I will go to the hunting test after two weeks. We haven't trained much, so we don't expect any results for that test... but it will be very exciting to see what happen in hunting tests :) Yesterday we were in the forest and trained a little bit... I didn't concentrated to practising all the time, but it's a normal thing... I am the SPANIEL :D

31.8.06 Can you start your Sunday morning better than walking in the forest with your best friends? No, you can't! We had so great time together on last Sunday... we ate sticks, wrestled, kissed, hugged... and it didn't bothered att all that we have little size differences :) You can eat sticks and burrow holes on the ground even you are a tiny cockergirl. We also took few standing photos of Mila and those you can find in the Mila's Gallery. Our mum decided that Kirsi will be the Mila's show handler, if we someday go to the dogshow :) She can present our little Mila so excellent!

22.8.06 We spent a whole last week in Kontojärvi's summer cottage. We had a very energetic holiday: our daily program included wrestling, swimming, "splash", grilling and we had very good luck because we found delisious, dead birds and mouses! Our mom didn't like our goodies... we don't understand why?! Nanna found also a new hobby: canoeing! If daddy went to the lake, Nanna went also :) Mila-baby learned to swim, even she is so tiny!!! So Mila broke our family record: Nanna learned to swim, when she was 12 weeks old, but Mila was only 10 weeks old! WOW! We truly hope that Mila can exercise her swimming before the cold winter coming :)

14.8.06 Yesterday I met lovely little girl, Vilma. My mum hopes that I get used to childrens, that I will enjoy their company also when I'm bigger. Vilma was so kind and she handled me very nicely. We had so great time together!

Nanna's and Ville's stories... ...

6.8.06 was our second tracking test in this year. It was very hot weather and in the forest were millions mosquitos, but still we both made very good job: Nanna got the first prize AGAIN with 43 points and was THE SECOND BEST DOG IN THE OPEN CLASS! She got to the winner class, after TWO tests, amazing! Ville got the third prize with 23 points. Ville didn't like that awful heat but still he did great job! So we had very hot but so nice weekend :)

3.8.06 You'll never guess what I found from Internet?! I found my sister's Ten Grade's Nip and Hip's (Netta) photo!! And I have to admit that she looks just like me! Netta's photo is HERE. Or what do you think? Isn't she just like me? In that picture on left side, I'm with Netta when we were 5 weeks old.

We have spent very cozy summerdays with Ville... we have nice beach in this near and we have swam there on every day... now it's so hot! Ville has also trained and sniffed bloodtracks, because we have tracking tests on Sunday.

23.7.06 I travelled to Keminmaa all breed show with my mum, Sanna and her Maisa-welsh. I had very awful day! I really hated that whole show and I scared everything. It was very unexpected that judge gave to me VG, even I didn't moved at all. So, we agreeded with mum, that I don't have to go dogshows anymore if I don't want to. And all I want to do att the moment, is tracking and hunting tests :) and eating... of course!

BUT our friends had wonderful day again: Noah-boy was BOB and BIG-4, Maisa-welsh was BOB also, Funny-wels was BOB-VET and BIS-VET4 and Mette-girl got CC! Congratulations for all succeeders!

19.7.06 Love is in the air... our friends Kara's and Melly's mom, Kirsi and daddy, Mika got married 15.7.! Our mum was one of the maid of honours and she had so lovely and funny day... Kirsi's and Mika's wedding was fantastic and so immemorial! Splendid congratulations to a wedding couple <3 So lovely!

On Sunday 16.7. we got visitors from southern Finland, in other words mum's sister came with her family! We went to Kontojärvi's summer gottage and we just swam and grilled :) We had so fun, even we were a little bit amazed childrens bustling... we don't have very much experience of childrens.

On Wednesday 19.7. mum went to the Satu's (Ville's breeder) place and saw there something VERY interesting ;)

1.7.06 Today we went to Raudanjoki and we have so much fun! This summer is so WONDERFUL time!!

24.6.06 Today I was in the international dog show here in Rovaniemi. We have dog shows every midsummer and it's a tradition for our family that we spend every midsummer in dogshows. I had very nice day: I was Best Male 3rd! Mom's favorite red boy, Roope, got wonderful results: he was BM2 and got res-cc and res-cacib :) Wonderful! Our dear friends Kara and Maisa got also amazing results: Kara got her first CC and Maisa got her last CC and she is now Finnish Champion! Big congratulations! I also competed in the Junior Handler -competition with Janina, but today we didn't get to the final, there was so many good handlers! Mum was the judge in the Dog & Children -competition and our daddy was the attendant of dog show. Only Nanna stayed at home and took care of our aquarium. Tomorrow I will stay at home with Nanna, because our mum and daddy will go to the dog show again. I'm going to sleep whole day, bacause I had today so much actions!

21.6.06 Wonderful summer! And wonderful Kontojärvi's summer cottage! We spend few sunny days in Kontojärvi with mum and daddy and we had sooo much fun! We swam, played football, took sunbathes, ate sausages and saw beautiful and huge sizes horses :) First we went into the enclosure, where horses was, but when we saw that all horses got closer to us, we ran away! Our mum fall in love with those big horses and kissed and hugged them all the time... she have two amazing cockers, so we wondered why don't she hugs us all the time? However... we had very nice time in Kontojärvi and we will go back there as soon as possible!

4.6.06 What a day! Today was our first tracking test in this year and today's test was Nanna's first test ever! Our distribution of work was that Ville and mum went Ville's own track together and Nanna went her track with daddy. We both compete in the open class... but hopefully some day we'll get to the winner class :) Today's test succeeded so wonderfully that it's almost incredible!! Ville got the first prize with 45 points and he was the second best dog in the open class :) Nanna got the first prize with amazing 47 points and was THE BEST DOG IN THE OPEN CLASS! WOW! We both believe that our mum and daddy are quite happy now ;) Hopefully we will get something delicious... for example... one, a ten kilos meatball! That would be great!

27.5.06 Today I went with mum to a groupshow which was about 3 kilometres from our home, so this time we didn't have to travel far away :) Judge was Markku Santamäki and he thought that I was very excellent in every way but he said that I'm too fat :) so I get "very good" today. That "fat-thing" is quite funny, because almost every time judges have said that I am too slim... but not today. Fortunately our friends saved our day: Melly, our dear friend got her first CC and was Best Bitch 2nd and very gorgeous Noah-boy (cocker) got him first CC and was BOB also, Salli (cocker) got VG and show us how you can move merrily :) Maisa (welsh) got her 2nd CC and was BOB and Tiikeri-boy got him 3rd CC and was BOS!!! Very big congratulations for every one! It was fantastic day!

21.5.06 We had very funny but very hard weekend! Our mum and daddy were two days in the woods. They were in the orienteering- and guidance course which was organized by Lapland Spanielclub. Now they (probably) can orientate on the tracking tests :) Mum also did tracks for us on Saturday with her friend Kirsi and on Sunday we went to the forest and show to mum how good we are in tracking :) We both tracked perfectly and found "the rabbit" very easily. We have our first tracking tests (in this year) after a week, so we truly hope that everything goes fine and we can show our skills :)

We trained tracking also in a couple weeks ago and here is a few pictures from Raudanjoki where we trained.

Our mum Sasu's stories ... ...

9.5.06 Yes! Today I got very good news from the postman :) I have been waiting about 7 months for my kennelname from FCI and today it finally came! So we are now Kennel Essere's... really great thing !!! Now I only have to find somewhere a nice and kind cockergirl which probably can be a mother of the first Essere's cockers! But it will be more difficult to do than wait for a kennelname :)

Finally, our webpages are also in English! Unfortunately the previous news are only in Finnish :(
